Nice. The "innocent" card is usually a good idea.

I think the thing is to call the number listed at the top. Don't ask, just let them know you want to upgrade your account and the phone you want, if they don't see it have them check under upgrades. Good luck!

People always ask to many questions. Just call and ask for the upgrade, be nice and polite. If they turn you down, call back a little later and see if it will go thru with another CSR.

Well I got mine ordered. The rep was extremely nice.

Should be here in 3 business days!

The trick was getting to a regular rep, being nice and polite, and don't ask too many questions!

Right

I was so nervous though. I thought she was going to ask for a Tax ID number or something and I was like "Yikes!"

I desperately need an upgrade. My 7290 can't really receive my college email anymore and this is a BIG issue. No apps will work on it either. I can't wait to get my 8900!

I have the freelancers discount as well.

Ive called three times. two times 611 and one time with the number listed by the OP. No luck on my end. All very nice and helpful reps and 2 of the three said the best way is to contact my business rep for t-mobile. Will try again later.

I have tried 4 different times and have had no luck. The last rep I spoke with said they have had accepted several orders for the 8900 from non-business accounts, however, they will be cancelled once the order is prepared for shipping.

I just went through a live chat with t-mobile

Mary Ann B: You can purchase the phone Carlo. However, we do not accept payments through chat.

I called once again and they said i would have to contact my business representative. So no luck. I would probably just wait for it to release feb 11th.

Guys, don't worry.
I've upgraded a phone before on T-Mobile and I didn't see the charge on my account until the next month. Since I ordered the 8900 now in the beginning of a new cycle, I may not see anything until March.

The charge isn't instanteous at all. In fact, I've never heard of it being so.

I see the "in progress" text when I go to the upgrade page so I know for sure it went through.

Say that the corporate line transferred you to the upgrade reps so you could upgrade the 8900. People who have had success with this didn't go to business reps, they just went to the normal ones.
