Contacts list, email help needed
I have an 8900 through tmobile and recently did the new os upgrade.
After adding my email accounts back to the wiped phone I did something and I am not sure how to fix it.
Somehow I have imported email adresses into the phone from either gmail or yahoo.
I have gone into advanced options and disabled all the syncing for these accounts so that is not the issue anymore.
However now when I try to send an email to a contact the blackberry wants me to choose from multiple email adresses that are not in that entry in the contact book.
How do I get rid of these adresses that show up that are not in my contacts list.
I really don't want to wipe the phone and hand enter all the information again but if that is the only way to get rid of this annoyance that is what I will do.
For instance I had a contact named Shannon on the blackberry, I had a different Shannon on yahoo. now when I send an email to contact Shannon on the blackberry I have to select between two email adresses that are for two different people. This sucks as I could send a email to the wrong shannon and lose my job... hehe.
Anyone have some suggestions short of wiping the phone and redoing the entire contact list manually?
Thanks for the help - 10-14-2010, 10:34 AM

You have to remove that account from your BIS page. It will then remove all that is associated with it.

So I log on to tmobile and just remove the email account?
How do I keep it from adding it all back?
Thanks I'll give it a try. - 10-15-2010, 10:47 AM

I removed all of the accounts from the BIS page. Rebooted phone. These email adresses still show up.
They are being stored somewhere in the phone other than the Contact book.
Any other suggestions. - 10-15-2010, 02:30 PM

Spent an hour on the phone with rim.... they don't have a solution.. says it's related to the 5.0 upgrade...
Looks like I will be downgrading.
Im going to back up contacts and wipe the phone first... this is going to get me fired for sending emails to the wrong people by accident. - 10-15-2010, 04:23 PM

Wiping and restoring data didn't fix the trouble.
I dowloaded an older version of desktop manager 4.6 and started deleting databases until I found it.
It was the recent contacts database that caused the problem. Rim couldnt' figure this out... I got pissed and just started deleting databases one at a time. Now I just have to do a complete restore and should be ok. - 10-15-2010, 04:34 PM

What a hassle....lol
Thanks for those who tried to help. I hope this helps someone else in the future.
