I got a new 8900 replacement (under warranty) and I know this worked on my old phone but somehow it's not working on this new one.

Inside the Call log, menu >> options>>general options>>
Show "My Number " = NO

But my number still shows up whenever i'm making a phone call.

I tried turn off and on. Battery pull too.

Help?

I know this is simple. But did you save the changes. I do it often and forget to save. If not. Take it back to the store

Yes, I saved.

After the battery pull, the setting still a "NO"

It is not 'show my number'.

That is for if you hit phone, your number shows up.

You are looking for "restrict identity' set that to your choice. There are 3 options Never, Always or Network Determined.

Push your green phone button, then the blackberry button and scroll to options, then general options. It will show a "restrict my identity" and that is where you can select always, never etc.

I am trying to hide my number when I hit phone, or making a phone call. I don't want my number shows up on my blackberry screen (at the right side/corner).

It is set as Show My Number = "No" --> still doesn't work.
