Hi i seem to be having a problem with the contacts on my phone.

i cant edit any contacts, or add new contacts either.


i was on v4.6 firmware before and i had this problem, i have recently upgraded to 5.00.822 and still have the same issue.

i have backed up address book in blackberry desktop software and then removed them from my phone, when you try to add new contact when you dont have any contacts on the phone it freezes and i have to remove battery and start phone again.

then when you put back contacts on their again it wont let me edit or create new contacts.

what can i do to resolve this issue.

sup dawg! im a newbie to this forum, as i only joined to reply to this thread!!!!
but i had the same problem with my 9550 storm 2
n the bb website said they are working on solving this solution.
but here's wat i did n it workd!!

back up ur bb using destop software
then on ur bb go to options> security options> security wipe.
it reset my bb to manufaturer default. then i used destop software to restore my settings on my device.
now im able to add new contact n edit the old.
only downside i lost alllllllllllllll my apps!
