Question Blackberry Curve 8900 Frozen on startup?

So...My BB 8900 curve running on V 5.0 is frozen on start up, when it starts, brings up the tmobile splash, check's security software then the analog clock comes up and is frozen on screen no buttons work, I have tried to do a battery pull several times, I tried reloading the handheld software on the desktop software but on the last page it gives me and error that the Blackberry software basically needs an active subscription and to visit blackberry.com/service and won't go past this. I also tried starting it with the app loader in the RIM folder and still did not work. So any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Try booting up in safe mode. Pull the battery. After replacing the battery and while the red led is on press and hold the return key.
