BB keeps freezing

My Blackberry Curve 8900 keeps freezing. Sometimes I just get the hourglass, other times I get a white screen with "App Reset" in the middle and I have to click on reset. I checked my file free and it is 89433798 Bytes, what else could be going wrong? Also, many times it won't ring (even when profile is normal) it will act like it's on silent and I have to do [another] battery pull in order to get sound back.

Could be a faulty app. I would start by deleting the last app that I unstalled. If that doesn't help, delete the apps one by one and see if the problem goes away.

I had this problem before! Then i juz wipe the os and load the latest os.

i only have this problem twice in a row(am using 4.6 at that time).
after that, i installed a new OS(the new is 5.0) and it worked fine

Installing a new OS is the answer

as stated before an app is causing it to crash it could be conflictiong with your OS or it might be just bad app, roll back any changes if you don't want to install new OS!

I don't know if it will work for your phone but I would just press and hold the red key (with the phone thing) until it turns off then press it again to turn on. That should solve your problems. Hope this helps
