I think either Desktop Manager 4.6 or 4.7. It depends on your preference actually. I'm not a Blackberry user yet so I'm not so sure at the moment. (Am I right guys?)

    Welcome to Crackberry!

Download 4.6 instead of 4.7, 4.7 has too many bugs and causing people problems. Check out my signature for the upgrade procedure as well as a link to the 101 lectures.

I haven't had a problem with 4.7 but I couldn't get any apps to read on 4.6 for the 8900. 4.6 worked perfectly on my 8320 though.

I would suggest using DM 4.6 for the 8900.

I would get Dsktop Manager 4.6 with no media manager from here https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

DM 4.6 is by far the most stable a crucial_xtreme suggests and I woul suggest that you get the version without media manager as the Roxio product inclusded is moderately horrible and slows down your PC.

    Thanks Pete,

What are the main features of Roxio product?
Does the iTunes sync work without it?

I agree with Pete6, no media manager. Some people use it and probably like it, I rather avoid it and use my Blackberry as a flash drive and copy over all my files myself. I never have been a fan of Roxio products.

DM4.6 is the most stable and will easily allow you to put a newer OS than released by your carrier on your berry, 4.7 will not (easily). Roxio is a useless conduit for putting your media on your berry. You can cut and paste to your SD card much easier or use media sync from itunes.

Windows media will also sync with blackberries. The only thing Roxio would be good for would be to convert a movie - and there are lots of other much smaller apps to do that for you.

I have v4.7 and was not real happy w/the size or the slow sync process (vs. my old 7105 and its desktop s/w). If I revert back, how can manage pictures, video & music if I want to swap back & forth?

Will Windows recognize the device when I plug it in to the USB and let me drag & drop media?
