Default Another White Screen problem

Since a month my Blackberry gets after few hours of working a white screen. When I get a problem with my BlackBerry I do a battery pull but with this problem it didn't work at all. I already resetted my whole BlackBerry didn't help much. Weird though is when I put it in my charger then my BB is restarting again. So when I got the white screen I plug it in and it starts again..

Anyone familiar with this?

I have the exact same problem. I replaced my battery and that worked for a month, then it started again. I think the phone is shorting out the battery.

Time to get a new phone.

I doubt it has to do with my Battery, because when in charger and restarted after 6 minutes or so my Battery has still 75-80 % left in the tank..

I have the exact same problem for MONTHS Now!
I Have no clue what this could be.

I read this:

Blackberry white screen possible fix
________________________________________
I think I have a fix. I'll explain what I did and please let me know if it works for you.

The problem: A completely, with an emphasis on completely, blank white screen. Occasionally, the phone appears slightly fuzzy, or glitchy. Also, the phone occasionally appears completely normal. The phone, in my case, worked fine despite the screen problems.

The fix: I found a thread about someone claiming that the four solder points behind the mini usb port somehow created a short behind the screen. The guide said to, first, completely disassemble your blackberry (sorry I don't have the guide here...could look for it today and send it to anyone that requests) After disassembled down to being able to see the green motherboard with the small screen attached, slightly and carefully peel the left side of the screen (the side that contains the mini usb port) a bit upwards until you can see the four solder points. For the laymen, these solder points are simply 4 grayish/silver spots. While taking care to not lift the screen excessively and leaving the majority still attached to the motherboard, take a piece of electrical tape, or any insulator and carefully put it over those four solder points.

Then, push screen back into position, reassemble, and test.

Please let me know if this works for you. My problem was solved instantly.

As for a second major problem of blackberry owners: if your phone will not sync with your computer and you have a bad mini usb port on your blackberry, it is probably because of the mini usb female port of your phone. A replacement of the port is the only solution I know of for this problem

As for a white screen with an hourglass: I think this is probably going to, usually, be a software problem and requires a reload of the operating system using your blackberry software on cd, or software directly from blackberry.com

-Philip

And i thought for sureee that would fix it.
After taking it to a technician i realized its a fix, but not for the 8900!
But for the blackberry-pearl-8100 instead.
Pleaseee anyone with a fix, tweak, mod anythinggg that will get this to work on the blackberry curve 8900 would be highly appreciated.
I have to travel with a charger every single place i go.
I even had to invest in a portable car-charger since i play music in the car via the AUX port and dont want it to go blank on me after the first 2 or 3 songs.
Please someone, please please help with this issue!
I cant afford a NEW phone right now.

In may I would've had the phone for 2 years, then I would've buyed a new one. But it seems no solution for that. And because I'm addicted to smartphones and I always need a phone for my job and stuff it's no do-able anymore to continue with this. Afters 2 hours without charger he's getting the white screen, and I can't travel fulltime with a charger. Time to buy a new one already probably a Keyboard Android phone not easy to find but Android Market is so much bigger and BIS getting a bit too expensive with what u get nowadays.. ;-/

Again...it's the phone shorting out the battery. Has nothing to do with how much juice is in the battery.

White screen of death is driving me mad

Nothing to solve, maybe a new battery but it's not worth the price, got a new phone already trying Android now, very happy about it. Blackberry was a great time to have now time to discover the Android platform!

Default white screen

the white screen isssue is definitely related to the battery. in my case a change of the battery resolved the issue to a large extent. there are however sometimes that i see the white screen for just some seconds and it clears up....this is after replacing the battery.
replacing brings improvement. but whether it's wotht it, it's a personal decision.
nice one Philips.
