Am I correct?
I am fairly new to BlackBerry so could someone confirm this for me:
I have a Curve 8900 with Rogers. Is the latest official OS 4.6.1.94 ?
Thanks. - 06-08-2009, 10:02 AM #2
No, that OS is very old. The newest leaked OS is always at the top of the forum in a sticky. Be sure to check out the 101 lectures for the upgrade procedure and read through it until you are comfortable with the process before you upgrade.

Thanks aristile. I did upgrade to 4.6.1.231. The reason why I asked was because previously I was having problem installing the official Rogers OS. According to BlackBerry.com the latest for Rogers is:
BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.1.158 (Multilanguage)
Package Version: 4.6.1.158
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.6.1.94
Software Platform: 4.2.0.69
File name: 8900M_PBr4.6.1_rel158_PL4.2.0.69_A4.6.1.94_Rogers. exe
File size: 120.82MB
So I was just wondering if I was having problem before because the 4.6.1.94 had already been installed on my device?

The latest official for Rogers is .94 but you are going to be waiting around for a very long time for another official release for them. You are much better off experimenting with the latest official OS release from other carriers. If you don't like the OS you try, then you can always downgrade back to .94 if you like.
