Default Alarm clock icon is being difficult

I love the alarm clock app, and I use it daily...but I have a minor issue with it. I snooze a bunch of times before waking up, then when I'm up for the day I hit menu, set alarm, and turn it off. If I go to my home screen the alarm icon is still at the top near the time. I have to go back into the alarm app, turn it on, then turn it back off in order for the icon to go away. What am I missing here? Is anyone else having this problem?

I think what you may be doing is dismissing the alarm. Which means it just reset itself to go off again the next day....if your only wanting to set a certain time for certain days, you can do it through the calendar, it would be much easier that way.

Yeah, initially I am dismissing it. But when I'm up for the day I turn it off then go to the home screen. But the icon still remains until I turn it back on, then off again

I am confused as to why the icon bothers you. You can set if for weekdays only at a given time, or on or off. If you set if for weekdays, it stays on as a reminder that it will alarm again at the preset time. You can set the snooze for intervals also. Turning it completely off and on each day seems like an extra unneeded step.

It looks like you might need to just set a 'new alarm' each night before going to bed to prevent the icon from displaying the whole day on your home screen... if that's what you're looking for.

You're right, I'm a bit ocd about it. I AM setting the alarm each day though. I just don't like the fact that when I turn it off the icon don't go away until I do one more on off cycle.

I believe the Icon tells you if you have an upcoming alarm within the next 24 hours. The Icon shows up on my phone constantly during the weekdays but not on the weekends when I do not have an alarm set. Except for on Sunday within 24 hours of the Monday alarm.
