8900 White screen + password lock

Hi,

My 8900 now has a white screen!

I've tried to reinstall but because there was a password lock on the device, desktop manager won't let me continue.

The information on the device is redundant and i've already got a temporary phone but i need to wipe the handset and reinstall os to get the phone back to a workable state.

Any idea if there is a hard reset option ie a button in the housing of the device that resets the memory to factory seettings?

I also have the white screen problem because i took the 'glass' layer of the lcd, anyone know a fix to this?

Is the white screen shows a graphic? or is it shows a completely white screen?
