Default 8900 weird behavior after water damage

I have a 8900. It fell in water 2 years ago. Tried drying it. Didn't help. Did the dry rice. Now here is where it gets interesting. I leave it in rice for 2 months, put the phone on and it works great for an hour. After that the keyboard doesn't respond. If I again put it in rice for 2 months. Same story. Any ideas?
(It struck me odd that it works fine for an hour)

Sorry, for the bearer of bad news, however, you can continue to try "this" and "that", but the bottom line is water damage which includes submersion is not a recoverable type event. The device will never be the same and will always be unreliable so trust me and take the medicine and move on to something like an upgrade. You will eventually begin to feel refreshed and invigorated and happy once again with BB. Take it from someone who knows through experience.

The rise will work when there is water inside of it... it will soak it... but if some electronic part has been damaged then you will need to replace the part.. doing the rise thing again won't work.
