8900 "sudden death". Need help with repair

So, about a month ago my curve went KIA on me. It just wouldn't turn on. No red light or white screen either, just a big nothing. I already have tried removing the battery, placing another one (a couple, actually), plugin it into the wall charger, and still nothing. I took it to a repair shop nearby and all they could do was tell me that it had suffered a "sudden death", explaining that it had supposedly no means of reparation. Which sounds quite unlikely; so, please, tell me, how can I fix my Curve 8900? Thanks in advance to anyone who might take time to reply to this post!
