8900 not working, screen white after falling?
Hello, around february a friend of mine in europe used to have this 8900, which he apparently dropped down the stairs, and it completely stopped working. He gave it to me, to see if I could fix it, and then said i could keep it. I've been trying to fix it for some time, i dismantled it to see if everything was connected properly, and it was. However, the screen is white, and nothing seems to work. It is still responsive when i push the lock button on top, the screen turns off. I also heard from a mutual friend that the phone had fallen in water, although i think this is unlikely, because the wet indicators haven't gone off.
The phone is two and a half years old from a european carrier, no warranty (of course) and no insurance.
I know this has happened to many 8900 users, but does anyone know how to fix it? Should i just order a new screen online?
this is what the phone looks like right now: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=25irb00&s=7
thanks

Sure, it’s going to kill a lot of people, but they may be dying of something else anyway.
