Default 8900 battery door

has any one been able to find a battery door for the 8900 that is better quality? when i had my 8900, one of the things that annoyed me was that the battery door felt like it was gonna break when too much pressure was applied.

i went back to the bold and i feel that the quality is better but i prefer the size of the 8900.

i've checked cnn.cn and ebay, is there another site that sells blackberry parts?

thank in advance!

Mine was a little loose. Kind of bugged me.

But I bought a Innocase II (not because of the battery door - I just wanted to protect the phone) and the problem went away. The phone feels better in my hand with the case on too.

Yup!!!

The flimsy battery cover is a common in many 8900 users.
For a device that costs so much, you'd think the design and
function would be up to par.

Here is a band-aid solution,
purchase a silicone skin.

The skin will cover around all the edges and back, now when
you are typing you won't feel the battery case shifting in your
hand.

Mine too and also my keypad. I'm disappointed with my 8900. It might be time for something else.

Yeah, I'm using a silicon case as well and it's excellent .. haven't removed it ever since I got it! My keyboard isn't that flimsy unless I purposely try to get it to shift. Other then that, I'm loving my 8900 and wouldn't change a thing about it.
