YouVersion issues? HELP!
New to the site as I have never really needed any help with my Berry till now... I am a YouVersion user and have been since mid 2010. As of 2 weeks ago Friday I could not login to my account... Thinking it was a app issue I waited. Then an upgrade to 3.1.3 came along and I decided to install. After the install now the app would not even load, would just hang. After 2 weeks of 'support' emails (don't get me wrong i know these folks are ALL volunteers and I appreciate their ministry but...) I am to the point where I am running version 3.1.2 at their suggestion due to know issues with 3.1.3 BUT I still cannot access my account?! I get a screen that leads me to believe that my login or pw is wrong but it is not. i have changed it and done everything they have suggested 5 times each. It almost seems as though I have some type of corrupt file floating about in my device that is blacking me... the app is simply a slave off of their site which I access with no problems...

Not everyone is a volunteer that works in support. I lead support for YouVersion and I apologize that you have had a bad experience. As a free app, we definitely do not have to offer support of any kind, but we do because we care about our users and want everyone to engage with Scripture.
What device do you have? OS? wifi/data? carrier? BES? MES?
My apologies in advance... Obviously I love the app and use it more than daily, hence my desire to get a fix. I have a BB Curve 8530, 5.0 OS (I think...). I do not use wifi, I do have a data plan and my carrier is Verizon. BES?? MES??
I created another account this morning and attempted to login... I created the account fine, but could not login and got the same response as before? It almost seems as though there is some type of background security or firewall blocking me from accessing my accounts... No other apps have any issues whatsoever so I am a more than a little confused.
Again - Thanks for all of your help and any help you can give!

BES is Blackberry Enterprise Service and MES is Microsoft Exchange Server.
Is it run through a corporate plan or a personal plan? If you get any message about a firewall or it policy then the fix that is being pushed to BB App World today will fix it.
It is a corporate plan, but i get no indication that it is a firewall or security issue I simply get a pop-up that says Username and password are required (as if I did not enter any or it has been rejected)... I will also load your fix to my wife's 'berry to see if we can load there...

Same problem with v3.1.3 on Storm2
I'm having the same problems as mentioned above. My YouVersion worked great on Sunday during church. On Monday (3/28), I upgraded from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 using BB App World. Since upgrading to 3.1.3, the YouVersion application just hangs at the opening screen. It never actually loads. I've finally deleted the app until a fix can be found.
I use Verizon + wifi + BES; however, I did not have these issues with 3.1.2 and have not changed any settings since upgrading to 3.1.3. My conclusion is that there is probably a glitch in 3.1.3 that won't allow YouVersion to load.
I love this app and really hope we can find a fix.

I was told here by the YouVersion lead support (Ben) that a fix was being pushed to BB App World Monday but have not seen anything yet so we at least know it is in the works... My issue seems to be ore than just the 3.1.3 update as the Friday before when I went to login to may account that morning the app lost my info (username and PW) and from that point for some reason I cannot login even now that I have downgraded back to 3.1.2 which is a usable app...
Frustrating, but I do understand that it is a free app and that this ministry does not have endless resources for support.

YouVersion File Corrupt
I am having the same problem. Does anyone know of a site that I can download the previous version that was working fine on my Tour. I would like to download version 3.1.2 I have tried Tech Support but it seems that they are just sending out standard emails in lieu of assisting me. Any help would be appreciated.
The older version worked great, just wish I would not have downloaded Version 3.2 I used the program daily and it is a great program. I can not understand why they would not allow you to download the previous version on their website? Need HELP. Thanks
