Worst Carrier Ever! Virgin-Bloody-Media.
So get this, my phone had a faulty keyboard, i rang up virgin and they told me to send it in to be repaired.
Fair enough, within a week I received the packaging and postage materials for it. I delivered it the very same day.
within 2 weeks I receive a new phone (they call it 'refurbished' but there is a very big difference between a new phone and refurbished'). I'm very happy with this as they have stopped replacing damaged phones as they were getting too many and having huge losses.
Chuffed to pieces i opened up my blackberry box an there it was, a sparkling shiny new blackberry curve 8520.
Little did i know, they didn't send a battery and back with it so it was basically as useful and a glass hammer.
Yes, i know. i shouldn't have sent them my battery and back but the letter said 'Do not send any accessories with your broken/faulty phone', would you regard a battery and back as an 'accessory'?
I rang them up again, 'Hello, I have received a refurbished phone but no battery or back' 'Sorry, you'll receive on within the next 4 days'.
a week passed - 'Hello, I haven't received my blackberry battery and back yet' 'It was sent yesterday sir'
Two weeks passed - 'Hello, i still haven't received my phone parts' 'they were sent yesterday' 'i was told they were dispatched last week' 'No, they where dispatched today' 'ok thank you'.
Three weeks had passed - 'Why have i not received my parts yet' 'They were sent, they must have been lost in the post' (at this point it wasn't a 'oh no they have been sent', it was a.. 'must have been lost in the post', which isn't all that convincing. 'we'll send some more'
Fourth week - I received the parts. so all together it took over a month to get my phone back.
And as the phone was 'Refurbished' it was STILL with an IT company that had it under its BLACKBERRY ENTERPRISE SERVER so I couldn't even use it when I got it back!
After hours of being on the phone with a technician (who was wonderful), we got somewhere and I could then receive emails! I was still having problems so i had to do a full wipe because Virgin couldn't even do that properly!
My phone has had none stop problems since I received it, unlike my previous one.
Not mentioning waiting hours for someone to answer the phone every time i phoned and the representative is barely understandable.
Since I've been with Virgin Media (around 7 years) we've had nothing but trouble with the wi-fi, phones and TV.
Please don't tell me I'm the only one! |
