Using a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard with BB Curve 8520 (Help please?)

So, I was adding things to my Christmas wishlist, and thought "I wonder if I can get a keyboard to use with my blackberry?"

Found this one, added it, and boyf did his duty and bought things from said wishlist, including keyboard.

After quite a while I managed to pair it, unfortunately the software that came with it was for a different model, and didn't include instructions for blackberry. Now that it's paired, it doesn't work. I type on it, and nowt.

Bluetooth is on, the keyboard is on, when I press buttons a little symbol comes up next to the bluetooth one like they're talking, but nothing actually happens.

Google searching has alas given me nothing.

Anyone got any ideas? I am beginning to think that perhaps amazon man fibbed and I can't actually use a bluetooth keyboard with my phone...
