O just got a blackberry curve from a pawn shop and i need to unlock it so i can switch to my mobile supplier it was through virgin and i cant hook it up to a different provider and i was told i have to unlock it can anyone tell me how

You cannot 'unlock' a BlackBerry 8350. It is a CDMA only device.

On what carrier and it what country are you trying to use the device?
To what carrier is the device branded?

You can unlock your blackberry curve mobile phone from virgin network by using unlock code. You can get the unlock code from this site unlock-zone.com .Here you need to specify your country,IMEI number of your phone and network provider name to which it is locked.Then they deliver you unlock code through mail with unlocking instructions.
