Default Unlock Virgin Mobile 8530 to work with Verizon?

Is it possible to unlock a Virgin Prepaid 8530 and use it with my verizon account?

If so, once unlocked, is it just as functional as a VZW 8530? Or does the fact that it was a prepaid virgin phone hinder some functions?

Thinking about picking one up on Black Friday for $50.

Thanks.

No, sorry.
Just buy a Verizon branded 8530 online, you can get one cheaper than $50.
Also, you can't unlock a 8530 because it's CDMA.

The Tour has a SIM card slot for, mainly, international use.
Some people unlock them and use it in the United States but they wont get 3G, only EDGE.

If you look at the 8530, there is no SIM card slot.

Default Blackberry unlocking for GSM - unlock 8520 Blackberry

The 8530 is a CDMA device and Verizon is also a CDMA carrier and you can't use the phone line in a SIM card.

The Blackberry Curve 8520 is the GSM version that can be unlocked and then used with GSM carriers such as At&t, T-Mobile, Rogers or Orange...
