unlock problem

ok. so i tried to unlock my bb curve. it seemed to work as the process went as described. i am getting an sos signal on the top right. i have done everything i have read up on. when i go back to check if its unlocked, once i get to the point where i type MEPD, all i get is SIM Card Secutity Disabled. I put in the MEPD and nothing comes up. I tried with and without a sim, changing the sim card and nothing. any suggestions?

What carrier what model and what carrier of sim?
