My BB 8530 scroll button doesn't work. This is a refurbished BB because the last three have had the same problem and I have a warranty with Verizon. I've only have this phone four weeks.

The scroll button seems to develop a blister on the button and I think the contact is compromised.

Has anyone ever have this problem?

Never seen one do this before but if you have had four phones and they are all doing the same thing I would think they are just putting a new touch pad in your phone and sending it back to you. sounds like there is something wrong with the phone more then just the touch pads. sounds to me like the touch pad is getting hot for what ever reason and after four of them doing the same thing I would say they have a bad batch of touch pads are there is something more wrong with the phone it's self. Do they give you a different phone each time you take it back or do they send it off and have it fixed. If they are sending it off I would ask for a new phone tell them this is four times with the same trouble and you don't want that phone back again. then Before you take it back make a mark on it somewhere so you know it is not the same phone. I have sold a lot of the 8530 BB over the years and never had this trouble with one before.

Verizon overnights the refurbished phone and I have to send back the broken one. The phones that are sent back are not new though. This one has a problem with the "v" key. I have to hold it down and wiggle it to get it to work. Annoying when I'm keying in a password. I can't tell it it's actually working, that is, a lower case vs a upper case "v".
I use my thumb to scroll. There was a design (a box with an "x") on the scroll button and it's already gone. I got the phone this past Monday.
I wonder if there's something in my sweat that's causing this.
Weird.
