Screenshot capture?
Does anyone know if there is a way to capture a screenshot within the blackberry itself by any type of key combo, or do I need to get an app for that?
Thanks

You will need and App for that. I use CaptureIt. It is free.

+1 on captureit. It's a simple small app that does what it's supposed to do.
There are others out there, some that make noise and have watermarks also. Cute at first, but annoying after a few.

I use QuickLaunch, while it is a paid app, it does so many other things it's almost like getting a screenshot app for free.

Next question is: how do I upload a jpeg that i captured to this website? Sometimes I see posts with a pic attachment. Can I do it from my Blackberry or do I have to send it to my computer and then upload it?

This is the easiest way. I use the Photobucket mobile site, I think their app is a POS.

You can either post attachments from the full site on your phone.
I use Photobucket app on my 9650, it auto uploads to my account.
I then grab the IMG link
Then post to the site.

Thanks again, Ridesno159. I'll check out the app and the link
Thanks John also for the info on photobucket.
With 2 people mentioning photobucket, it's worth a check

I just find it kind of wonky to use most the time, and the last time I tried it (probably a few weeks ago) I had these issues that were explained here Photobucket Trouble?
I also don't like how it's always running in the background when you're signed in. I really only use the app for posting images here, and keeping some of my important information available anywhere.
Photobucket gives you an email address to upload images (I'm sure you know this), I've just created a contact for them and send the pics to that email. After that it's easy to just go to their mobile site and copy the IMG code. I think they even send you a confirmation email after the upload with all the posting codes/links.
And Chaviv, I think it's best to use the IMG code to post images rather than attaching them. People using the mobile site can't see them when you attach it to a post. - 04-14-2011, 04:40 PM

Can I assume that their mobile site is m.photobucket.com, or is it something different (if i decide to use the mobile site and not the app).
I'm getting a lot of good info from both of you...I'll have to experiment and see which one is the way that's easier for me...Last edited by Chaviv; 04-14-2011 at 04:46 PM.

Yea, that's it.
I just searched "photobucket" using my phone and google, the first choice was their mobile site (has the little phone next to the link)
If possible, I'd recommend creating an account first using a computer, then downloading the app or using the mobile site. Like I said previously, they give you an email address to upload photos. By all means though, give the app a try, I just find using the mobile site works better. - 04-14-2011, 05:04 PM #17

Kolo, is there any way to get an english version of this program? All the menus are in spanish and...well...I don't know spanish...

I don't mind having it running in the back ground as it does not effect anything on my device.
I have a folder created on my SD card called Screen Shots.
I have Mobile Photo Bucket path to look into that folder for auto uploads.
Everything else on my device is not effect in anyway on being uploaded.
I tried the email address things and I had issues with it and seemed to take longer IMO.

Ok...I keep trying to upload a photo from my BB to my photobucket account, and it keeps on not working. I've tried about 4-5 times already...from both the app (which I deleted) and from the mobile site.
Any ideas? Zonasnap i've tried, but it keeps coming in spanish..and I can't seem to get a copy with menus in english.
Any ideas here? There are no such things as problems...only challenges and opportunities--E.B.
