Default Ringtone problem.

So I was looking at other threads and still didn't find anything to fix my problem yet.

I had a song on my blackberry set as my ringtone, and it worked fine. I just changed it to a different song (by editing my profiles to it, going to "set ring tones/alerts" under the profiles and changing it there, and also playing the song and setting it as the ringtone for all profiles there). But now when I get a call it doesn't play the new song, it plays a classic ringer. If I go to my contacts and select any one to edit and look at the ringtone that is set, it says the classic ringer while everything else like volume and vibration says active profile. How can I fix this so any call I get plays the song? Without going through each contact changing the ringtone to the song.

This may sound weird, and not be a fix for your problem, but....I found that when I change ringtones like that, it helps to have the one you're about to edit be active. For example, if you are going to change the 'normal' ringtone, make sure that's the one you're on. Give that a try, good luck!
