I did not delete any text messages, they just seem to go away after a number of them have been received/sent. NEED to retrieve the ones that seem to have gone away. Outside of calling my provider (Verizon) any ideas out there??

your phone will automatically delete older SMS messages when it runs low on the required memory will clear space.

if you goto Option-Status
you can see your file free.

I would recommend a battery pull every day or two, which will free up memory as needed.

I'm sorry to say that it will be unlikely that you will ever be able to retrieve those texts.

Consider getting Fixmo Tools from either AppWorld or the CB Store. It allows you to recover a lot of stuff you delete from the phone.

Althou I don't think it can recover things prior to its installation.

Also go into your Message Folder, hit the menu button and select Options. In options select General and scroll to the bottom. Here you will see Days to keep messages, Forever is listed.
