Please help

Last night i was trying to delete a one of my chats during that my phone froze so i took out the battery and when i turned it back on a message box popped up that said uncaught exception 10>=10 and now ALL of my messages are gone, the icon is gone and i cannot send or recieve text messages. It wont even let me go to one of my contacts names and select compose new sms. Please help

Just in case the OP doesn't know how to do that, you press the 'alt' + the right hand side 'shift' button (uppercase) + the 'delete' buttons. That should make the phone restart.

If i do a soft reset will i lose anything off my phone?

Ok No that didn't work it still say the same Uncaught exception: Index10>=10 and my message icon is still not there.

Sounds like you'd need to reload your OS. I'm posting via mobile, so I can't provide the link, but check out the BlackBerry 101 lecture series post for reloading the OS. Just use the search box near the top of the page, and it should get you what you're looking for.
