    Question Phone slow

I have a bb 8530 through Alltel. My phone is very very slow. I tether for internet access because of where I live and that too is slow. It takes forever for things to load.

Does anyone know what I can do to speed my phone up?

    Thank you

Ok, a few questions. Is your phone slow or is your signal bad. Each one has different solutions.

If your phone is slow, what OS are you running and how much memory do you have left. What do you run in the background. Are you sure you close out of apps when done? When is the last time you did a battery pull?

If your signal is bad, we go another way. Depends on your answer.

You didnt answer my question. You keep saying your phone is running slow, but you have two very different senarios. One is your phone itself is slow, lagging, hourglasses, etc. The second is you have a bad signal for tethering, etc.

How many bars do you have, are you getting 3G and how many dbm is your signal (menu>options>signal)

If you're OS is slow, here's a few tips. Update your OS, update to the LATEST one. You can install other carrier's latest OS on your phone. Clearing cache might also work too. To do this, hold ALT and hit LGLG.

Unless you have a 8520. Use .681 instead of .822 until a new version comes out.
