They should have made it tap. Like the track pads on laptops nowadays. Less moving parts and less things to jam.

You would've had more people complaining about that. Because you have to take your finger off then swipe it again to scroll...what if it made the mistake of instead of scrolling more, it thought that was your "tap".

ON a laptop...it works...not on the phone. Too many support nightmares.

And since you still push the pad IN to click, how would you distinguish an over zealous tap with a click?

I've seen it on the 8520, and I liked it. Only big question is.......

How will they pimp it out without being able to change the ball color????

That said, I've used the trackpad in pretty much every normal/everyday condition so far without issue, though today it finally tripped me up.

Was heading out to lake in gf's car... She was driving and had the top down. Found that in BRIGHT direct sunlight (like sun beaming on it) that the input became a bit messed up - either not responding or only moving one "click" per bigger swipe. As soon as I shaded it just a tiny bit with my other hand it was fine again.

So could be a bit of a limitation to the tech here.... After using the trackpad so long I don't like the trackball as much, and this one situation hiccup wouldn't turn me off it, but I guess this is one setting where some would prefer the trackball over trackpad.

I just experienced that same issue with the trackpad the other day ... I wanted to mention in it in a new post but I thought it might have made me seem as if I was crazy Lol ... Glad to see that I'm not tripping ... LoL

Anyone experience a crooked trackpad? I pressed down on it and the right side is now sunk further with the left side protruding up (like a see-saw).
