Has anybody tried Opera Mini 5 on this? Has the trackpad issue been solved in the app? How about photo albums: are the pics still pixelated when in preview mode?

You gotta download and install it onto your PC. then go to C> program files> common files > apploader, in that folder you delete the Vendor.xml file at the bottom, and then run the Loader.exe in that folder and just follow instructions basically.

I'm calling it now.....although RIM didn't say this, I think 6.0 will come to 8530. Even if it's a leak. I remember very well when we didn't think 5.0 would hit the 8330, then we got it.

I know this has nothing to do with this release, but it got me thinking....don't be surprised.

Wow; my phone's running really hot right now after the install but I think it's due to Podcast redownloading everything.....whoa.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the culprit. Lookout is backing up my data right now for some reason. I could've sworn I had it set for 1:00am....yeesh.

i installed this OS on my verizon 8530 last nite! seems good so far! pixelated pics are still there but is that the end of the world! i dont use opera so cant give feedback on that! charging animation is cool on the default theme! all my apps are working fine! after a clean wipe it took around 15-20 minutes to install! i also used desktop manager 6 to back up settings and also to back up my 3rd party apps!

For those of you working with Opera Mini. Bag it. Try Bolt browser. I have much better luck with that program

So far so good, but i've only used it for about an hour, i'll update after the work day ( i use SD about 50 times a day )

Do you think if they don't give us OS 6. That we still could get the new WebKit? I want that more.
But so far. This update isn't too bad. Haven't noticed any changes other than the charging animation.

Yes. It's flashing now. It scared me at first, I thought my charger (or my battery) was going crazy.

Mine doesn't show the lightning bolt, flashing or not
and when i have it on the charger it seems to be sending and receiving data like a mad man.....even tho i have rebooted and popped the battery several times

It's only on certain themes that use the default battery icons.

Do you have the Blackberry Podcast App? If so, there is an option that is checked that says only download podcasts when charging. Just a guess. If you don't, then I don't know.

This most likely has to do with your twitter settings. Make sure you have checked to see what your refresh rate is at. It may be set to manual.

I did. It's set for 5 minutes, and 100 limit and notify. All of them set to do it.
I just did a reboot, it works now

Well it's been 6 hours of use with No Speed Dial Problems touch wood
maby they finaly fixed this problem
