i have a BB 8520 Curve that i haven't used for about 8 months so i forgot the password to unlock it. i need to do a complete reset of the phone so i can pass it along to someone else. every reset process i've seen presumes that you can get past the password. how do i reset the phone bypassing the unlock password? i don't care if i lose data or apps - in fact i WANT to wipe the thing clean.

i have a PC with cable to connect to the BB in case that helps.

Just keep entering the password incorrectly the set number of times and the device will wipe.

Alternately, use BBSAK on a computer.
