My 8520 Crashes/Shows White Screen

So this started to happen to me a few weeks back out of no where. Whenever I'm in a call or using a lot of memory.. say browsing the net using the wifi.. the phone would crash/show a white screen and even if you pulled the battery, it would restart and come back to the white screen. The only way to fix it would be to recharge the phone.

I'm pretty sure my battery is going but I just need to confirm this. It's not the white screen that shows a little icon in the middle of it, it's a completely blank white screen whenever it crashes. Very annoying, I would like to get it fixed asap cause otherwise I would have to carry my wall charger/car charger wherever I go.

I'm pretty sure it is the battery also. Might as well try the cheapest option - get a new battery, before trying other things -- maybe make sure you are at the newest OS as well.

I am using the newest OS for 8520 5.0.0.1067 but mine does the same thing as stated above by xtremex. something else seem to be responsible for this problem. Probably applications upgrade from application world??? Not sure what is causing.
My battery is not as strong as it used to be but I dont think it is the culprit in this case because on a good day, it can still last up to 8 hours after a recharge.

First you can try to wipe the device (after making a backup) and reinstalling OS, or even try to use another OS build to find out if it's a software related issue or hardware related issue.

This is hardware related it happened too my friends phone, i re installed the OS 5, from scratched and didnt do a restore, so the phone was empty. and it still happened.
