I wanted to change the memory card on my BB8520 from the 500MB to a larger 4GB.
Will this help my device or hinder its performance?

The SD card wont improve performance unless you are saving or reading file from it. Getting a class 10 card would be your best bet for any improvement possible

I tried to upload an itunes podcast, and when I tried to play it, it would not play the audio. Any other audio file would play, but not the podcast. Why is that?

maybe the video/sound codec isn't supported by your device

For the first time in 1890 podcasts, the first 3 minutes are blank. I tried on my usual device and confirmed.
