Memory card issues

Okay so.

I have a Curve 8520. Thought I'd put some new music onto my memory card, usually just use mass storage mode (so much easier!!)... but does not come up as a removable device. Next, I use the Blackberry Desktop software. Connects to that fine, everything's hunky dory until it informs me it cannot sync any media as there is insufficient memory on my phone.

I have a 2gb SanDisk memory card in there, full of lovely songs which i listen to every day, my blackberry recognises it fine but nothing else seems to! I've re-installed the desktop software and ensured all my drivers etc are up to date, but nothing.

Please help im stumped as to what to do
