Default Mail problem- changed from 8830 to 8530

I just switched from an 8330 to the 8530 and for some reason I am not receiving mail.
I switched phones with my provider and everything shows to be successful. I set up my email account and that shows to be successful, but I am not receiving mail at all.

I had no problems with the 8330 before this, is there something I am missing?

Did you have you resent your service books? When you registered your blackberry, did you get a confirmation BB message in your messages?

I did get the confirmation when we activated the phone and I did go in and send service book.

The odd thing that happens is that I go through the complete setup and it says everything is successful and that I can now use the email and that the account will now have an icon on the home page but there is no icon!

Hmm...Have you hit your menu button when at the home screen, then hit menu button again and make sure you are showing all your icons? The icons for your email that gets setup are usually a mail envelope w/a globe. You could also go to your main "messages" icon, hit menu > options > inbox settings, and make sure you have some email accounts selected to be shown in your messages folder.

There is no envelope with the globe and when I got to the messages" icon, hit menu > options > I don't see anything that says INBOX settings.

In fact when I go to the envelope on the home screen and hit the menu button, then options, I see Wallpaper them, Layout, download folder and theme defaults.

Gotcha. Click on the Messages icon once you have it highlighted, then hit BB button (to bring up menu) > options (you should see "Messages Options" at the top) > Inbox settings. Let me know if you get there, and what you see.

Ok, this is really weird. If I highlight the message icon it shows me the list of calls I have made, received or missed, then if I hit the BB button and scroll down to options the options I get are General Options, Email Settings, and Spell Check. If I then click on Email settings there is absolutely nothing.

If I highlight the message icon ,then hit the BB button and scroll down to compose message it says NO MESSAGE SERVICES CONFIGURED AND THAT I WILL BE REDIRECTED TO THE SETUP WIZARD TO SETUP EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

Then if I click ok, it says no message services configured. You will only be able to save draft.

It almost sounds like your phone provider didn't activate your BIS. Which makes no sense since you got the confirmation message from BB... And, sorry, just to clarify, you are actually clicking your trak pad once you've highlighted the messages icon, and you get that goofy message? Also, you could send me a PM here on BB with your BB pin, and I could try to BBM you to see if that even works.
