Hey Guys ,

got some questions for you. I just upgraded from my trusty 8330 to the 8530.
I dont really like it, my wireless signal always sucks, and my battery life is only about 5 hours. I have verizon.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Hey Mikey -

I had the same problems when i switched from my 8330. I thought i was going to end up going BACK but didnt The battery goes low if you use your wifi alot or the music player - theres alot running on this phone which i think is why the battery stinks. I just make sure to charge it at night, and i keep a USB cable in my box here at work so i can charge it from my computer if needed. With all the emails, texts, FB updates, ebay updates that are always coming through, my battery doesnt last much. Plus i play games and stuff in down time. Reference the signal i know blackberry (not the wireless companies, actually blackberry) has been doing alot of internet updating, etc, which can kill your signal. I had to call the other night, because i was having problems going in and out. they told me they were updating internet and that the entire phone runs off of the internet so thats why i had no signal. idk if thats correct lol, but thats what i was told. verizon may have outages in your area. i personally have never had them, ive been with sprint for a while, but i do have friends that complain about their verizon phones.

Oops - forgot to add that too - def upgrade to OS6. MUCH faster! Also may want to add something like Quick Pull so you clear up and refresh your phone daily.

My battery life was garbage when I was at .3xx firmware.. Telus.. When they finally came around to release .654 my battery life just shot up. After about a month's use the battery life also gets better.

Compare the applications you have on your 8330 and 8530, chances are you have more on the 8530 :P was the case for me.
