Keyboard Back Light Issue Curve 8520

The back light on my Curve 8520 no longer comes on when the OS is booted up and now only comes on during phone boot up (after a battery pull), how do get the back light to work during normal use?

I don't really no about the 8520 but on my 8530 it never really comes on either I think its one of the phones issues

Im a little confused as the OS boot and the phone boot (Battery pull) are the same things. Are you sure you have your backlight turned on? Is it in auto dim mode? More information please.

What I mean is when the phone is booting up (Black Screen that says BlackBerry and has the progress bar) after a battery pull the keyboard back light comes on, but once the Homescreen is loaded and the OS does its security check the keyboard back light goes off and never comes on again. I've got Auto Dim set to on, but I thought that only effected the screen back light.

Same here.. the only way to get it back is throught the test of hardware and booting up.

Ok that is sure strange !
You can try booting in safe mode !
Hold the Esc button as the led goes off and the booting bar starts up In it only OS compoients are loaded hence if it solves the purpose there is some malatious app that is creating a prob !!b!
