Unhappy I think I have killed my new berry..... help!

OK, had it a week now, started off no problems, used the device swap and got everything transferred over nicely from the 8320.

A few days later I swapped SIM's, using my old berry sim (with BB data plan) in my new 8520. No problems. After turning the old one back on with the new SIM in, I had a couple of problems but it all sorted itself out.

Now a few days later I noticed that I had no data connection other than WiFi, so was dead away from home. GSM still working for texts and calls.

Tried restoring just incase a new software install had done anything but nope.
Have also now tried later OS's (as per top of forum) still nothing.

Since doing some of these bits I have also now noticed that the browser was coming up as a hotspot browser. After clearing the cache, its working again but only on the wifi. Meanwhile Facebook and App World continue to tell me to subscribe to a data plan to continue.

I am guessing I need to start afresh here, so any suggestions on what the **** to do?

Failing that, I will call up and get it swapped out. But would like to resolve the issues as things like this bug the **** out of me.

Thanks to anyone who can offer help.

You sure you have a BlackBerry data plan on the new sim. Those apps only work with BlackBerry data not generic data plans.

Cheers mate, I have dataplans on 2 sims, and tried the girlfriends sim too. Nothing.
The berry did me a favour last night and started smelling of burning too, so its being replaced in the morning.

Fresh start eh
