The MEP unlock code you have been sent will not unlock your password. It is meant for unlocking your phone so that you can use any sim card on your phone.

I'm afraid that when you have forgotten your BlackBerry phone password there is no retrieving it. You will just have to enter it incorrectly 10 times. This will however wipe your device of its data. You can of course restore this if you have backed up.

My apologies for not explaining myself correctly.

I have already exercised my ten attempts and lost my data.

I now need to access and reset my password. I have received my code and have been trying to find MEP so I can inpot.

    I am doing everything correctly?

    Thanks again

If you have already wiped the device, then you can just go ahead and create yourself a new password by going to Options>Password (presuming you are using a Curve 8900 or an OS5 device).

Unless of course you do want to unlock your BlackBerry to use any sim card. If that is the case, then you enter the MEP code you need to do the following:
    1. Go to Options>Advanced Options>Sim card
    2. Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
    3. Type MEP then [ALT BUTTON] then 2 on your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
    4. You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the unlock code and press enter
