How do you Sync your BB to your PC?

How do i Sync by BB to my PC, If i set a calander note on my PC or BB they must both remind me, I followed the steps on my desktop,it sasy i must turn off the wireless Syn on my BB, i have done this, but keep giveing me same message?

BB Desktop Software syncs my BB calendar, tasks, and contacts with my MS Outlook.
