Help! Numeric keypad locked - unable to enter password
Hi,
When I turn on my BB, the numeric keypad is locked (123 sign on upper right activated).
I am therefore unable to enter my password which contains letters.
How can I unlock the numeric keypad, as all the other keys are inactive?
Many thanks for your help.Last edited by neftiso; 06-02-2010 at 03:06 AM.

Have you tried pressing the "Alt" Key for the "Shift" Key to try and take off the lock?

Many thanks for your help.
I tried using the alt key but it is not active, as the num lock is on.
The only key that seems to be active is the sym key, which is not very useful is this case.
Any other suggestions?
Many thanks in advance. - 06-02-2010, 03:44 AM #4
Are you sure its not asking for the Sim Lock Pin? Those are usually numeric values only and that's the only reason I could see the phone having numlock on. If you have set a SIM Pin lock in the past, try that password. The SIM Lock transfers from phone as it is the SIM that's actually locked.

You were right: it was indeed asking for the SIM pw and not the phone pw.
Thank you sooo much for your help and sorry for the trouble.
