Hey everyone,

Hate to ask a question I feel has probably been asked a lot, been searching around and cant really find any solid help.

Just recently been trying to update everything on my BB 8530 V5.0.0.1030 and I'm getting an error when I attempt to play any media whatsoever. Ringtones, videos, music, etc. N

Tried restoring the phone to a previous backup and still not working.

Any help would be great.

i noticed that u've fixed the issues already...for others who are facing same problem u can try this:

go to m.youtube.com and scroll to bottom of page.


click "start optimization"

test 1/7: click "yes" when you see the tiny grey heart
test 2/7: click "yes" when you see the puppy
test 3/7: click "no" when the flash lite video fails
test 4/7: click "click here" when pressing "5" key does squat
test 5/7: there is no test 5 for some reason - skip to test 6/7
test 6/7: click "YES" - the mp4 test video WILL FAIL BUT CLICK "YES" ANYWAY
test 7/7: click "no" - h.263 does not work


Click YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
or email yourself the link if "Optimize" does not appear at the bottom of your page.


your videos should play in HQ now.

I use Bold 9780 and I don't find the optimizee button in your link.
