Default email services folder gets when services are withdrawn

Hello all,

Last month my account balance ran low and services to my pre-paid T Mobile were discontinued for a day. Upon topping up the account the phone worked fine and I could access the internet normally through the phone browsers.

But the email folder of my BB that I had setup with gmail would not show any new emails. The only emails I could see were the ones that were already present. I soon discovered that my gmail account was not listed in the "email settings" folder. So, I went ahead and reinstalled the same gmail account.

Even then new mails were not being shown. However, they were being shown in the Messages folder (the one which stores all emails and SMS/MMS). Finally, I simply deleted the account I had just setup and then reinstalled it again. This time all the older emails were gone and I had a empty inbox which worked fine.

Today due to a goof up on T Mobile's part, the account was deactivated again for some time and now its up and running. But I am facing the same problems as described above. And again I have had to go through the cycle or deleting and reinstalling.

Can someone tell me an easier way of letting the inbox work with the newer account even if services are withdrawn? I am guessing this has something to do with the fact that the email services folder is deleted the moment services are withdrawn.

Thanks!
