I've searched the forums for anything helpful without success, but sorry if there's something I've passed by.

I was given my friend's 8520 Curve a couple of days ago when he upgraded his phone, and I decided I'd like to install the Opera Mini on it. When I opened the Blackberry Desktop Software to do this, it suggested I update from my current OS (4.6) to 5.0. I tried, but it keeps freezing on module 948 of 979 and eventually telling me: 'An error has occurred whilst downloading software for your device. Please verify your internet connection or try again later, if the problem persists.' My internet's fine, and I've tried again later after rebooting my pc. I've also tried updating straight from the website but had the same problem. I also get the same error when I try ignoring the OS update and installing opera on my current version.

Can anyone help me out?
