Data Service Issue

I recently bought an unlocked 8520 in the US. Brought it home to the Caribbean, took it to my service provider got it set up. Telephone and text works just fine. The "edge' is in small letter, even though the company say that the data service is on/active. I have tried battery pulls, wiping the phone, sending service books but cant get the data service (email, BBM, browser) to work. It does not work with wifi connected either

go to mobile network options on the manage conection sshortcut and make sure data services are turned on

Try going to options -> Mobile Network -> and change "Network Selection Mode" to manual
