Curve 8530 Can't setup e-mail

Can't set up e-mail. Message is "Blank user name. Type a valid user name."

This is a refurbished phone. My original one died the other day and I just received this one today.

Maybe check and make sure your plan is active with your carrier? Have you tried a battery pull?

Thanks MissoulaMarinerFan. I pulled the battery so often that the battery saw stars.

I brought it back to Verizon and the tech said the issue was with Verizon's system.

I'm up and running and I added two other e-mail accounts.
