so i received a curve 8520 to repair recently and my major problem is actually getting the thing into safe mode...no matter how many times i follow the instructions it's not working, i get the error code "App error 523" and underneath the button to select a reset all this with a white background, also when the device boots up it gives "uncaught exception 24> = 4" error then goes to the above mentioned error, so long story short i want to remove the OS on it, and i would like to know EXACTLY how to boot into safe mode as RIM's explanation does not get me anywhere.

P.S i cannot connect the device to my computer successfully.
