I added an answer about a moving trackpad...not sure why I didn't do that before.

I'm not sure who the mod is for this exact forum (if they have it set up like that). Though one of the admins could do it.

But I wouldn't go flooding their PM box.

Default White Screen Curve 8520

Hi,

Please I like to seek your help with the challenge am having with my Blackberry Curve 8820.

At the moment all am seeing is a blank white screen with a little clock like dark spot and this had been on for a very long time now and I have had to remove and replace the battery over and over again since this challenge started.

Please tell me what to do. I will be waiting for your reply.

Thanks.

Josh

Something like this maybe?
Or are you just seeing a little clock or hour glass keep spinning?

By your message it seems you have pulled the battery out and tried to get the phone to reboot and it won't.

Plug it in to your PC; is the phone recognized? Either alone or by desktop manager?

Unfortunately it sounds like you need to reload the OS
Go to the sticky up top and download the latest OS and install on PC
Go into the folder for the installed OS and delete the vendor.xml file
Plug the BB into the PC
Click the loader.exe file and load the OS onto the phone.

Question Ringtone Length

I have tried to see how I can lengthen the time my ringtone plays for before I answer the phone but it seems to cut into voice mail after only a few seconds. I have tried different ringtones but all the same. I find myself racing to get to the mobile before it diverts to voicemail. I still want to use the voicemail but need time to get to the phone if it's not by my side. Can anyone help?

I have coverage with a carrier called Alaska Communications Systems. Or, ACS for short. In Alaska ACS is far superior. They have way more coverage and is even cheaper. ACS just recently got the Tour, which is right on schedule six monthes after the Verizon release. I had my eye on the 8530 and was wondering how long it would take to come up here. Will it be April? Or sooner? I would appreciate any information. Thank you!

Default vibrate

I recently purchased the 8520 and I've noticed that the vibrate is really loud and violent. Is this just my phone?

Interesting some people are commenting that the vibrate is weak.
Maybe go into the profiles and turn the vibrate to short? I can't really comment if it is normal without seeing it.

My phone doesn't give me the option to set vibration length, only how many times it vibrates. I'm hoping a sturdier case will somewhat muffle the intensity.

Thanks for the FAQs. I'm a Newbie and am totally in love with my phone. This answered a lot of my questions.
