Exclamation Complete Reinstall of OS or better options plz !

Hi
my curve 8520 has some strange problems !
when i connect to a wifi network, i can browse it for some time but later time i do not know why or how i just cannot use it ! the device still says that i am connected to the network ( as it still shows Carrier name - wifi SSID )
i am working on the same wifi on my MBP and droid but only prob with BB Curve. Also if i just close my phone's connections then turn on again few times i can work again for some time !
any help ? i thought like to
1.) deleted the ssid then again re setup wifi -- nothing happens
2.) battery pull does not do any thing
3.) changing carriers doe snot help either ! -- have world phone here in India

Must I
1.) just do a simple factory reset from BB Boss and similar things
2.) Must completely reinstall OS ( now i have BB OS 5.0.0.592(bundle 1096, Platfoem 5.2.0.64)
Cryptographic Kernel : 1.0.99.669G
it was OS 5 from the day i purchased it .

I have backed up 3rd party apps from BB boss and similar software

So if i proceed to complete Flash of ROM ( unaware if that was possible, use it in Droid)
1.) How to do it ?
2.) will get the same Kernel and OS?
3.) what are the things that will change?

this problem is frustrating me ,

You may want to install the latest OS for your device. You can find it here: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-os

Reinstalling your original OS isn't likely to help.

Users don't have the ability to flash the ROM on a BlackBerry device.
