Cell phones from Walmart???
Hello Crackberry world!
I had recently bought a bb8530 from walmart with sprint as the carrier. After having it for a few days I realized the phone was activated on April 2010. I bought this phone in september of this year, and by the looks of it when i was at the store and when they opened it to activate it, it looked like it had never been touched...
I know someone had this phone before, not only because of the April activation, but mine, nor my girlfriends phones had come with the original screen protector.
So, does anyone know if Walmart sells phones that people have returned to the carriers stores only? Or do they actually sell BRAND NEW phones?
Also, is there any negatives about buying a phone from Walmart?
I just dont want to have issues with the phone after the 30 day return policy, and then get frustrated, not be able to return for a new phone, and feel like I was scammed. I mean, the original owner returned it for a reason rite?
Anything you know about what im talking about would help me lots.
Thanks! - 09-29-2010, 01:23 PM #2
I would direct this to Sprint.

It sounds like the phone was refurbished. I would switch out asap. You never know if/when the phone may break down.
