So i bought a used black berry off of craigslist, everything seemed fine until i got home and i am trying to set up the phone on my provider (metro pcs). I guess the person who had this phone before me account is still attached to the phone. It keeps prompting me to pay his bill? I called up metro and they said the only thing i could do it wait 30 days for his account to cancel or figure out his 4 digit security code. I was wondering if anyone on this forum would know of a way i can get around/hack this. Any help is appreciated

No, there is no hack to fix this. It's between your device and MetroPCS.
Any way you can call the seller back and tell him to make sure the device is off his account?

wow, i guess I'm stuck waiting for 30 days, I have tried reaching the seller but his phone is off? idk it goes straight to voicemail.

Next time, meet the seller that the phone store, so that you can verify that you can activate it before you exchange money.

yea your right, it says his balance has been past due since the 28th so hopefully today they cancel his account. Thanks for the help

And if he doesn't pay his bill, you will not be able to activate the device on your account until he does. Even if they "cancel" his account.
